Jessamyn is currently a community technology instructor at Randolph Technical Career Center, a freelance writer, and a web designer living in Vermont solving technology challenges for schools and libraries. She has been speaking on libraries, technology, and politics since 2003. Her interests lie in how Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 reflect many things libraries are already doing, the digital divide and its effects on library services, US political climate and legislation that affects library services, rural libraries their use of new technologies, and the nascent Slow Library Movement and its relationship to Library 2.0.
